As 2009 winds down to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what I have learned, how I have changed, and how I can be a better person in 2010.
HAHAHA. No I don’t. Introspection is for people who don’t drink. I will say that 2009 has been, literally, the best year of my life. It’s the year I got my kick-ass new job, it’s the year I met Mavrick, it’s the year that my best friend, our dear Wormy, met Chilla.
2009 was the year of love and money. It was the year I finally felt like an adult, but still managed to, at times, act like a child. It was the year I became the mom of a teenager, got a new dog, and paid off my truck.
Big things happened in 2009. I can’t even hazard a guess as to what 2010 is going to bring me. I’m not making any New Year’s Resolutions, because let’s be honest, no one actually keeps those things.
Rather, I am going to work everyday to wake up and make good choices. Good choices for me, for jr., for all of you, for the world. And I know that no matter what life throws me, I will succeed.
I wish each and every one of you a very happy New Year. I hope you are blessed enough to spend this evening with those you love, that you are able to leave 2009 behind you and embrace all the fantastical things that can happen to you 2010. I hope you grab your life by the horns and ride that bitch like a pissed-off bull, and most of all, I hope you have a safe night.
Because if you drink and drive and somehow die or kill someone, your 2010 is probably going to suck ass. Be careful out there, my kittens. Me and Wormy love and need you.
Catch you on the flipside.
